Retirement Redux
When a person retires, he/she often takes the time to reflect on—not only those past years invested in their working lives—but in their futures as well. Guests at their retirement parties can help set the course of their friend’s coming years by playing Retirement Redux. In this game, each guest is invited to offer a suggestion about a project or activity that the retiree can undertake in their newfound free time. This could be a smart, practical suggestion (one that involves charity work, household renovations, etc.) or a downright silly one (a guest could suggest, for example, that the retiree join a motorcycle gang, a pop band, a travelling circus, etc.) The guest of honor could judge the quality of all suggestions, awarding prizes for Most Creative, Most Humorous, Most Practical, Most Useful, etc.
