First Communion: A Tribute
A First Communion is a sacred ceremony in which a person first receives the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. In this activity, each guest steps forward to present the guest of honor with a meaningful Communion gift; whether it is a cross or a plaque, or even a doll wearing a Communion dress. As they ‘present the present,’ the guest can make a special wish for the child’s future. The host or guest of honor then could judge the wishes according to their sentimentality, practicality, or even their humor, with winners receiving miniature crosses or cross necklaces, Bibles, and other spiritual gifts.
