A Previous Engagement
Any engagement party can be made even more fun—and romantic—when guests play the game A Previous Engagement. In this game, the host can pose questions about famous couples who had high profile engagements. These could include “What royal couple recently tied the knot, capping off a fairy tale romance well documented in the press?” (Answer: Prince William and Princess Katherine) and “What actor and singer enjoyed a high-profile engagement, even appearing together in one of her music videos, before breaking it off and—eventually—marrying others?” (Answer: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez). A bonus, just for fun question could be “Who is the most glamorous engaged couple of all?” (Answer: The couple of honor at the party, of course!) Prizes given for correct answers could include heart-shaped chocolate boxes, heart pins and bracelets, lacy heart pillows and rose-adorned ornaments, etc.
