Daytona 500 Ball Race
Kids love racing and being active so in honor of the great American Daytona 500 race play plenty of relay race games. The Daytona 500 Ball Race is played by setting a ball, perhaps a tennis ball, on the ground. Each player receives their own tennis ball and the more players aka racers the better. Ready…set…GO racers push the tennis ball with their noses around the racetrack (use chairs, and other boundaries to make an oval racetrack), and the first player who can successfully complete the desired number of laps first is the winner. The player who loses their ball and gets off course is penalized one lap if he or she has to use their hands to place the ball back on the track.
