Oscar The Grouch Trashcan Game
Oscar the Grouch Trashcan game is played using trashcans, just like Oscar’s trashcan, and many balls of rolled up newspaper. Spilt the children up into two teams. Place the trashcans next to each other a few feet away from the party guests throwing line. On go, players try to throw the rolled up pieces of newspaper as fast as they can in their trashcan. To make the game more challenging, place the trashcan further away from the throwing line ensuring it will take time to make all the newspapers. Once the children run out of the newspaper balls, they must pick them up, return to the throwing line, and start again. The first team to make all the newspaper balls is the winning team.
You can make your own invitations for an Oscar party with red paper, a big star and plenty of glitter which will add to the Hollywood glamour of the whole nite. Be creative and have fun.
