The wearin’ o’ the green is a tradition for St Patricks Day, so a game of the same name might be fun to play at the party.
For the wearin’ o’ the green game, you will need many green items that can be worn for St Patricks Day. Hats, beads, socks, gloves, scarves, and anything else that you can find that is green would be acceptable. Then you will need to choose a special word that the guests might say during the party. Every time this word is said, the guest who says it must yell out, “Happy St Patrick’s Day,” and an item of green clothing will be given to him or her to wear for the rest of the party. It should seem like a burden, but at the end of the party, the one to continue to wear the most green items given to them wins a special prize that they did not know about before.
