A ROSH HASHANAH (JEWISH NEW YEAR) PARTY GAME
It’s Jewish New Year, or Rosh Hashanah, but the celebration is not exactly the same as the better known New Years Eve, so make up some games and have fun with it.
How about hiding noise makers to get the kids’ attention for a Rosh Hashanah game? When they find the noise makers, it will be obvious what to do with them. At various times at the party there should be different noises going on in different parts of the house or yard. There could be horn, poppers, and all types of noise makers that you might find during New Years season. Kids like making noise, though, so be sure they are noise makers that won’t annoy you and your guests.
As Rosh Hashanah is a big celebration is good to start planning ahead and get all those party favors together. Start by putting together a guest list and making imprinted invitations. Have party favors for all age groups. For the children have imprinted New Year coloring books, engraved pencils and pens. For the adults have some engraved coffee mugs that say “Happy New Years” and a bag with baked goods.
